Statement of New World Group
New World Development Company Limited ("New World Group" or the "Group"; Hong Kong stock code: 0017) is highly concerned about the series of criminal damage inflicted upon the Group's facilities in the last two days. We strongly condemn the illegal acts and take the view that they amount to a serious challenge to public order.
New World Group has not received any form of threats and believes that the incident is not related to our businesses. The Group has already heightened alertness and strengthened its security measures.
The Group will fully cooperate with the Police, hoping that the culprit will be arrested as soon as possible.
