NWFB Awarded Class of Excellence Energywi$e Label in the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence
New World First Bus Services Limited ("NWFB") is once again commended in the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence ("HKAEE") for four consecutive years by garnering the Class of Excellence Energywi$e Label, in recognition of its outstanding performance in energy conservation.
NWFB is fully aware of the importance of sustainability development to the society, and has further achieved its aim of energy saving by replacing lamps in office and common area of the bus depot with motion-sensing LED lighting, so as to avoid non-essential lamps operating around the clock. In future, the Sustainability Committee of the Company will continue to integrate sustainable values into daily management and operations, with green measures on three fronts: bus fleet, bus depot and office, with the purpose of promoting staff green awareness, conserving energy and reducing waste, contributing to environmental protection.
Started in 2008, the HKAEE is led by the Environmental Campaign Committee alongside the Environmental Protection Department and in conjunction with nine organisations, which aims to encourage businesses and organisations to adopt green management and green innovations, as well as to present them with an opportunity to benchmark their commitment towards environmental excellence.
