New World China Land Won "China Best Low-Carbon Enterprise" Award
New World China Land Limited ("New World China Land" or "NWCL", or "the Group"; HK Stock Code: 917) won "China Best Low-Carbon Enterprise" Award in the evaluation and selection event jointly initiated and hosted by the Economic Observer and National Research Institute of Economic Observation, and was honored with "2009-2010 China Best Low-Carbon Enterprise". The Group was the only Hong Kong enterprise among the 20 winners including domestic and transnational corporations.
New World China Land is committed to advocating green actions in the course of real estate operation, and promoting and practicing low-carbon and emission-reduction lifestyle in its communities. For example, a total 14 business project of New World China Land have taken part in the "Earth Hour" lights off event initiated by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund) for two consecutive years, and called on its 50 communities in 20 cities to jointly take part in the event in 2010. On January 2010, New World China Land joined the Group's Environmental Protection Committee. Consisting of the management of member companies, the Group's environmental protection committee will be responsible for establishing the Group's environmental goals and policies, and the environmental strategies that are updated from time to time. New World China Land will vigorously fulfill its social responsibility for environment, explore the latest environmental measures, and gradually develop into a "green enterprise".
