Building team spirit in NWS Fun Day 2010
Aiming to promote work-life balance and boost team spirit among all staff members, NWS Holdings Limited ("NWS Holdings"; Hong Kong stock code: 659) held NWS Fun Day 2010 on 21 March 2010, attracting nearly 5,000 staff and their family members to participate NWS Holdings is committed to protecting the environment, therefore has set "Green Fun Day" as the theme of the event this year.
After enjoying the flag performance prepared by staff members and professional dancers, William Doo, Deputy Chairman, and executive directors of NWS Holdings officiated at the ceremony, which symbolized that staff members joint hands to build a brighter future for the Group with their creativity. Besides, talented staff of the Group brought to the audience various performances. Other highlights of the event included game booths, track games, environmental fashion show, cheering team competition and lucky draw, etc.
In line with the theme of "Green Fun Day", games to promote environmental protection were designed. Moreover, green tips were printed on the entry tickets to remind participants of environmentally friendly measures, including arranging their own bags when getting lunch, disposing of the rubbish into designated bins, etc.
As always, NWS Holdings values corporate social responsibility. A charity sale booth was set up to raise fund for St. James' Settlement, receiving overwhelming response from staff and their families.
