The ground breaking ceremony of Shenyang New World International Convention and Exhibition Centre ("SYNWICEC") was officiated today at the site by Dr Henry Cheng Kar-shun, Chairman and Managing Director of New World China Land Limited, indicating the main commercial facility of Shenyang New World Garden finally getting off the ground. 

SYNWICEC occupy a site area of about 228,000 sq.m. and has a total GFA of about 700,000 sq.m. The whole structure will include a convention and exhibition centre, hotel, office, retail shop and serviced apartment. The design of SYNWICEC will follow the same concept of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Phase II, which feature an iconic seagull wing-shaped canopy.
