New World Group Wins Awards in Public Relations
New World Group (the "Group") has a high regard for Corporate Sustainability and sees the maintenance of good stakeholder relationship as a cornerstone of success. With its strenuous efforts to keep up effective and efficient internal and external communications, the Group won a number of accolades in the "10th China Golden Awards for Excellence in Public Relations". New World Development Company Limited ("NWD") garnered the "Silver Award - Culture and Sports"; NWS Holdings Limited ("NWS Holdings") the "Silver Award - Internal Communications" and New World China Limited ("NWCL") the "Nomination Award - Community Relations".
NWD was lauded by its significant achievements in facilitating the glorious return of the Harbour Race after a 33-year-long of hiatus and was thus named Silver winner in the category of "Culture and Sports".The award signals NWD's unparalleled contribution to reviving a territory-wide event fondly remembered by Hong Kong people and transfiguring the Race of bygone days into a Race showcasing the territory's renewed sporting vigour. The Race was accompanied by a series of successful PR activities and made a real media splash which captivated the public, turning it into a notable event cherished by the world. This year, NWD will sponsor the Race again thereby giving the Group another opportunity to promote the indomitable spirit of our thriving city.
NWS Holdings won the Silver Award in the "Internal Communication" category. NWS Holdings was the only awardee in this category this year, and has won awards from the competition the fifth time in a row. With the theme of "Connecting staff members and building brand", the entry by NWS Holdings presented its all-round internal communication strategy including the staff magazine New Voice, intranet and diversified staff activities.
Discover Happiness, the film project produced by New World China Land and Huayi Brothers, received the Nomination Award in the category of "Community Relations". This five-month project, inaugurated in August 2011, invited the NWCL's residents from eight cities (Beijing, Tianjin, Shenyang, Anshan, Chengdu, Wuhan, Guangzhou and Guiyang) and members of the NWCL Club to play the leading roles in the film, depicting their real and happy lives.
The biennial China Golden Awards for Excellence in Public Relations, organised by China International Public Relations Association, accessing and recognising outstanding projects by its strategies and influences. It is the most prestigious and respected public relations award in China.
