New World Group Wins 18 Awards in "Take a Brake - Corporate Green Driving Award Scheme"
New World Group (the "Group") wins a total of 18 awards from the "Take a Brake - Corporate Green Driving Award Scheme," organised by Friends of the Earth (HK), for its outstanding performance in promoting a green environment.
Among the 18 awards, New World Development Company Limited claims "Most Significant Fuel Efficiency Improvement - 1st runner-up" for its 23.8% improvement in fuel efficiency, while Hip Hing Construction Company Limited garners "Highest Sustained Fuel Consumption Saver" for its efforts in energy saving.

New World Group promotes green and sustainable practices among its staff members. Not only that staff members are encouraged to take public transport, company drivers also apply green driving principles which include regular checks on efficiency of company vehicles, reduction on unnecessary loading, good use of green driving techniques, etc.

"Take a Brake - Corporate Green Driving Award Scheme" was held by Friends of the Earth (HK) with an aim to call on corporates and organisations to improve fuel efficiency and cut fuel consumption of their company vehicles, and to promote green driving habits among drivers.
