New World Group Exemplifies Bespoke Craftsmanship by Attaining the First WELL Pre-Certification world wide
As a true testament to the Group’s brand personality – The Artisanal Movement – the New World Development Company Limited is delighted to announce that its large-scale re-development project located on King’s Road has achieved the WELL Pre-certificate – Gold Level, the very latest elite pre-certificate presented by the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). The architectural project is the first in the world still in its design stage to achieve pre-certificate, epitomising the Group's persistence on delivering bespoke craftsmanship.
“The WELL Building Standard is the world’s first criterion of its kind to measure features of the built environment that impact the health and wellness of its users,” says Paul Scialla, founder of the International WELL Building Institute. “It has become the latest architectural benchmark in the United States, Australia, Canada, Singapore and other major cities around the globe."
As a sagacious pioneer in the industry, The Artisanal Movement guides us to craft a bespoke creation for our customers by considering the needs and well-being of its occupants, in addition to environmental safety and energy performance. Adhering to the WELL Building Standard allows the monitoring of performance and the collection of valuable feedback to make continuous improvements and ultimately accomplish bespoke service excellence, in accordance with the spirit of The Artisanal Movement.
“Every artisanal detail in the King’s Road re-development project traces the sheer dedication and the spirit of our Artisans,” says Mr. Adrian Cheng, Executive Vice-chairman and Joint General Manager of New World Development. “By carefully detailing customers’ needs, we endeavor to elevate modern living standard with the creation of the comfortable and humanized environment.”
The project goes beyond merely constructing green buildings and its peculiar design serves as a new breakthrough paradigm, leading the industry to seek new internationally recognised standards and directions. It also demonstrates The Group’s commitment to ensure a cutting-edge yet long-term sustainable growth while minimising any potential impact on the environment and enhancing living quality of the community. Long devoted to providing the ultimate service quality, the Group will continue to prioritise customers' health and look to build a better life for everyone in Hong Kong. We are dedicated to creating an artisanal living experience in which residences can assume a lifestyle in perfect harmony with the community.
About the WELL Building Standard®
The WELL Building Standard® is a performance-based evaluation system for measuring, certifying and monitoring building features that impact human health and well-being.
The result of seven years of interdisciplinary research and administered by the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), WELL sets evidence-based standards and performance requirements for seven areas of impact: air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and state-of-mind. WELL-certified buildings ensure human-centric design principles and the promotion of human health and well-being. The resulting buildings improve the nutrition, fitness, mood, sleep patterns and performance of their occupants. The New World Group actively supports the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s goal of actively promoting green buildings and has already applied for BEAM/BEAM Plus certification.
