New World Group Celebrates its 40th Listing Anniversary with Staff and Families on its Fun Day
The "New World Group Fun Day", organised by New World Development Company Limited ("New World Group", "the Group"; Stock Code: 17.HK), was held on 25 November 2012 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centreas part of its effort to promote work-life balance and harmonious family life while enhancing team spirit among its staff.
The Fun Day drew a record high of close to 5,000 staff and their family members from different companies and departments of the Group. Growing hand in hand with Hong Kong for over four decades, the Group attributes its achievements to the unfaltering support of its staff. Through organising a wide variety of performances, games and competitions on its Fun Day, the Group celebrates its 40th listing anniversary with its staff, showcasing its core values UNITI, which denote You, New World, Innovation, Trust and Improvement.
The event was kicked off with a powerful and rhythmic drum performance by the Group's Management Trainees, followed by a variety of exciting team and booth games, handicraft workshops, kiddie rides, inflatable games, etc. While witty disk jockey Sammy added fun to the joyous atmosphere as the event's emcee, popular artist Moses Chan brought the event to a climax with his singing performance. In addition, with the Group's 40 listing anniversary as a theme, the game booth designed by New World First Bus Services Limited and Citybus Limited was voted the best creation by visiting guests.
To extend the reach of the message of love and care, the Group invited Caritas Second Hand Recycling Shop, Caritas La Vie Bakery and New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association to hold charity sales during the event. Two of the Group's beneficiaries, Music for Our Young Foundation and The Hong Kong Institute of Education Students' Union Chinese Dance Arts Volunteer Society, were also invited to perform in the event.
