New World Development Holding Father's Day Tea Party to Share Parenting Experience
New World Development Company Limited ("The Group"; Stock Code: 17.HK) cares for its staff members. To celebrate the upcoming Father's Day, the Company distributed boxes of tea leaves to its staff members as a gift to thank the "daddies" for their contribution to both the Company and their families. We also encouraged the "sons and daughters" to take home the box of tea leaves as a present for their fathers.
To brew a cup of Chinese tea with a fine colour, aroma and flavor takes time and a patient heart. The sacred art of tea is just like mastering the art of relationship building with family members. While the traditional Chinese art of tea is a way to achieve tranquility and fulfillment, family harmony and love bonding have to be maintained by endless efforts and endurance. By presenting to every staff member a box of tea leaves, we hope they are able to realise the similarity between tea brewing and family bonding.
Adrian Cheng and Gary Chen, Executive Directors and Joint General Managers of the New World Development Company Limited, celebrated Father's Day together with the other staff members. Adrian Cheng made tea for his colleagues, while Gary Chen, being a father of a daughter, shared his parenting experience. Gary Chen said: "As a father, we shoulder heavy responsibilities. To give rooms for our children to develop, we parents sometimes should learn to let go and to tread a fine line between giving them freedom and training their discipline. Sometimes encouraging children to take on more responsibilities through volunteer services enable them to be a generous person which is more important than pursuing academic achievement."
The Company has presented small gifts to its staff members at festive days, such as sending red date tea bags on International Women's Day and carnations on Mother's Day. The Company will present low-carbon vegetarian "Cereal Healthy Rice Dumpling" to its staff members to celebrate the forthcoming Dragon Boat Festival.
