New Word Group Presents Hong Kong WinterFest
New World Development Company Limited ("New World Group") together with its subsidiaries and associates are in full support of the Hong Kong Tourism Board's "Hong Kong WinterFest", a unique festive celebration of the season from now on until January 2003. The New World Group wish to give Hong Kong citizens and the tourists a hilariously funny winter.
During the "Hong Kong WinterFest", starting from 1 December 2002 to 5 January 2003, a 34-metre-tall Christmas Wishing Tree decorated with some 20,000 colourful light bulbs will be put up at the Golden Bauhinia Square of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre ("HKCEC"), Wan Chai. Probably the world's "Largest All-weather Christmas Wishing Tree" to be recognized by the Guinness World Record, it welcomes all tourists and Hong Kong citizens to stop by and make their wishes.
In the meantime, a variety of shopping booths will be set up from 20 December 2002 to 5 January 2003 at the Golden Bauhinia Square as well as along the coast. Among them comes the "Must Buy, Must Eat" Bazzar, where you can enjoy plenty of attractive offers from the New World Group: New World Mobility, New World First Ferry Services Limited, Hong Kong New World Department Store Company Limited, Fulintang (Hong Kong) Limited, Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong, New World Renaissance Hotel, and the HKCEC. Operating hours of the booths are 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm on weekdays, 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm on Saturdays and public holidays, and 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Admission is free.
Between 21 and 22 December, the public sho uld enter the booth area through Expo Drive at the extension of the HKCEC. From 23 December onwards, they may use the Expo Drive East entrance.
