K11 brings 130 jobs to the market, the world’s first Art Mall seeks a strong team to help cultivate a new retail generation
K11, New World Development Company Limited ("NWD" or "the Group", Hong Kong stock code: 17 )'s latest retail project, today held its first recruitment day in the aim of finding new hires. Around 1,200 job seekers attended the event which showcased about 130 job opportunities with the company.
Set against a challenging backdrop of rising unemployment, news of K11's recruitment drive is timely as it renders hope of relief to some of the unemployed. According to Mr Adrian Cheng Chi-kong, Founder of K11 and Executive Director of NWD, "K11 is the world's first Art Mall. We are looking for high-caliber individuals who can identify with our brand. More specifically, we want highly motivated and energetic employees who have a passion for delivering high standard of services and are committed to bringing a unique shopping experience to Hong Kong. Through our comprehensive training and exposure to first-timer brands to Hong Kong, we hope to nurture a new generation of retail professionals."
K11 combines the concept of shopping in a gallery. Top picks from Hong Kong artists will be displayed in showcase windows on different levels between shops and this "art walk" will enable K11 visitors to appreciate the best of the local art scene while they shop. This six-storey 340,000-square-feet mall will attract new designers, flagship stores, F&B outlets, including brands that are new to Hong Kong. The complex is also connected to luxury residences and a five-star Hyatt Regency Hotel.
As the world's first Art Mall, K11 attracts attention not only in Hong Kong, but also overseas, from print fashion magazine in Italy to the online video-sharing portal, Youtube.
