Citybus and NWFB launch iPhone and Android App
To introduce more user-friendly route searching features
Both iPhone and Android mobile users can now download Citybus and New World First Bus ("NWFB") App free of charge to enjoy more comprehensive and user-friendly route searching features as well as the first-hand information of Citybus and NWFB. Equipped with the exclusive "Point to Point Search" on map, Citybus and NWFB App enables the users to find out the bus routes and the bus stop locations nearby in a faster and a more direct way. Other additional features include bus stop navigation, advanced alight reminder and search bookmark function, which ensure our passengers efficient and pleasant experience in planning and enjoying every single bus journey with us.
Adopting an energetic tone of design, the newly launched App uses two buses as the entering icon while the interface demonstrates four main functions including "Point-to-Point Search", "Nearby Bus Routes", "Input Route No." and "Journey Log Tracker", which provides the users with different ways to search for the routes desired, comprehensive routings, timetables, photos of every bus stop and service announcements. With its exclusive "Point to Point Search" on map, users can simply drag any point on the map to set origin and destination to explore all relevant route information; it will be sorted by the minimum walking distances, then immediately display the walking distance between the boarding, interchanging or alighting locations and the bus stops selected, enabling passengers to facilitate easier journey planning with an exceptional experience of a genuine "point-to-point" route-searching function.
Citybus and NWFB App has been uploaded with comprehensive bus routes information and will display the whole bus route selected and its en-route bus stops on the map. Making use of the Global Positioning System, the App will identify the corresponding locations of users and list out all nearby bus routes and route details to enable the users to make their own choice in planning their trips. Whenever the users have query in accessing to the bus stop, the App can also navigate them to the desired locations through the map.
In addition, the App is equipped with two phases (300m/ 600m) alight reminder function. Users can set a maximum of 10 alight reminders upon their needs after boarding. After the alarm is set, the App will automatically remove each reminder upon arrival at the desired bus stop to avoid repeated notice to ensure a timely journey.
