New World Group has won International Mercury Awards
New World Group has been honoured outstanding achievement in professional communications at the 20th International Mercury Awards. New World Development Company Limited ("NWD" or "the Group", Hong Kong stock code: 0017) FY2006 Annual Report won the Silver Award in the category of "Annual Report - Overall Presentation: Holdings & Property Development" while that of New World China Land Limited ("NWCL", Hong Kong stock code: 0917) won the Bronze Award in the category of "Design: Annual Report - Interior".

The Mercury Awards, organized by MerComm, Inc., are considered as the most highly respected and prestigious by industry peers. The programs were founded to promote excellence in the various fields of communications. With 940 entries from 16 countries, the awards were judged by a panel of over 100 communication specialists from all over the world, whose professionalism ensured the competition's long-standing tradition of impartiality and integrity.
