New World Group Garners Eight International ARC Awards
The 27th International ARC Awards awarded New World Group with eight accolades (see the chart below) for its 2012 annual reports - New World Development Company Limited (the "Group;" Stock Code: 17.HK) scooped the Gold Award in the Traditional Annual Report: Real Estate Development/Service: Various & Multi-Use category while New World Department Store China Limited ("New World Department Store;" Stock Code: 825.HK) garnered the Gold Award in the Cover Photo/Design in Retail: Convenience & Dept. Stores category.
Featuring the silhouettes of Hong Kong's city scenes, the cover design of the Group's Annual Report 2012 echoes its theme "One Step Forward - We Create New Living Experience." The cover design highlights the Group's accomplishments in property development and dedication in providing our city with outstanding products and services and a high-quality living environment.
Themed "I Love Shopping," the cover design of New World Department Store's annual report features a graffiti style shopping scene. Adorned with the company's ornamental logo, the shopping scene depicts a family of three enjoying their shopping experience, which demonstrates New World Department Store's dedication to provide customers with a one-stop shopping experience with a vast array of products and excellent services.
New World China Land Limited (Stock Code: 917.HK) and NWS Holding Limited (Stock Code: 659.HK) also garnered multiple awards with their annual reports which boast innovative cover design, layout and graphics.
Organised by MerComm Inc. from the United States, International ARC Awards is the biggest annual report competition worldwide with the judging panel selecting the award winners based on criteria such as the design and content quality of the annual reports. This year's competition received more than 2,200 entries from 34 countries around the world.
