New World Group Garners 2011 Galaxy Awards

New World Group ("the Group") highly regards annual reports, corporate collaterals and corporate website as important and effective communication channels with investors and shareholders, and thus put a great deal of effort in compiling and producing these publications and website. The FY2010 annual reports of the Group, corporate brochure, corporate website and staff magazine "New World‧New Words" have achieved brilliant results by receiving 14 awards in the 2011 Galaxy Awards, recognizing its outstanding performance in corporate communication.

The cover of the NWD FY2010 annual report uses "New World Group" in American Sign Language Alphabet as the main visual.  The sign language images appearing throughout the annual report represent the Group's sincerity in serving the public, its commitment in strengthening the two-way communication and understanding with people from all walks of life, just as the all-rounded businesses of the Group covering various aspects of lives of the general public. To match with the Group's 40th anniversary of establishment, all cover images of previous NWD annual reports are showcased in the interior, memorizing the Group's 40 years of development in tandem with our people. 

The corporate brochure of NWD uses "A New World for You & Me" as the tagline, accompanied with the corporate red color as the theme color in the cover, showing a prominent image of the Group to the readers. Throughout the brochure, quality photos of the head shots of staff or clients of the concerned core business are showcased in each core business section, demonstrating the people oriented culture of the Group.

The NWD corporate website (www.nwd.com.hk) was revamped in July 2011 to provide updated corporate information to outsiders and investors in a timely manner. The brand new corporate website comes with a clean and stylish design.  To showcase the Group's business development, a brief corporate introduction, announcement and latest news are displayed at the index page prominently. Location maps of the Group's property development and investment projects in Hong Kong are also added in the new website. The pages of Press Room, For Investors and Corporate Citizenship are revamped to enhance the communications with media, investors and general public.

The quarterly published New World Group staff magazine "New World‧New Words" was first launched in 2008, providing the most up-to-date corporate movement to all staff. It also offers a two-way communication platform to the staff, with various columns for staff's submission of articles or photos.  Interactive games are designed to allow its staff to learn more about the Group via a relaxing and interesting way.  With a lot of high quality photos and concise text, the magazine is popular among staff members.

The main visual on the cover of the NWCL FY2010 annual report comprises four characters in Chinese small seal script, "Home . Business . Happiness .Leisure", creating a classical and artistic look. These four characters, together with four visuals of "the screen", "the abacus", "the guqin" and "the tea cup" which symbolize NWCL's dedication to creating quality communities for "living", "working", "culture and entertainment" and "leisure" are used in the four dividers of the annual report, signifying the brand-new life experiences for its customers. The seal and the classical titles displayed in the interior not only represent the accuracy of the financial results of NWCL, but also enhance the aesthetic style of the annual report.  

With the tagline "Scaling New Heights", NWS FY2010 Annual Report demonstrates that NWS is committed to fulfilling long-term growth and excelling itself at various aspects. On the basis of two core businesses of NWS, infrastructure and services, its investments span Hong Kong and Mainland China are symbolized by puzzles in their respective identity colours, red and orange, in the report. Also, further expansion of NWS is denoted by adjoining right pieces of jigsaw puzzle strategically. By focusing on the vibrant growth areas, NWS has been maximizing its returns and reaching new heights ever since.

The cover of the NWDS FY2010 annual report shows a happy scene of a family going shopping in a department store, comprising colorful graphics with gold powder toppings, flying butterflies and trendy merchandises, which represent the refreshing and care-free shopping experiences brought by NWDS.

The Galaxy Award, organized by MerComm, Inc., symbolizes the assembly of numerous disciplines that create marketing excellence. Only Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honors Award will be given in each classification. If no entry scores high enough, no award will be given.
