New World Group Claims Nine Titles in International Mercury Awards
New World Group earns a total of nine titles (see table) in the 26th International Mercury Awards for excellence in its promotional collateral and annual reports.
Among the nine awards, The Green Book of New World Development Company Limited ("NWD") and Annual Report 2012 of New World China Land Limited ("NWCL") garner the Gold Award under the categories "Promotion/Marketing - Earth/Environment" and "Annual Reports - Interior Design: Traditional Format" respectively.
Promoting innovative green living
NWD's The Green Book features a collection of interesting local and overseas eco articles and insights to promote innovative green living, covering a wide spectrum of green topics such as food, construction, transport, design, eco-tourism and geo-conservation. Printed on Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper and with soy ink, copies were distributed to schools, green groups and public libraries in Hong Kong. To expand readership, an iPhone App was launched for free downloading and an online version (www.nwd.com.hk/thegreenbook) is also available.
Exhibiting exclusive and thoughtful design
Bearing the theme of traditional Chinese paper cuts, NWCL's Annual Report 2012 presents a traditional Chinese house with a courtyard, book, butterfly and guzheng on its cover, each symbolising home, commercial projects, cultural and recreation and leisure that NWCL has offered to its customers in the past years.
The Group also receives the Bronze Award for NWD's investor webpage, Honours Award for the poster design of New World Harbour Race 2012, and a number of awards under different categories for the annual reports of NWCL, New World Department Store China Limited and NWS Holdings Limited.
Established in 1987, the International Mercury Awards recognises outstanding corporate communications projects.
