New World China Expands Further into Shenzhen and Greater Bay Area, Bringing K11 Art Mall and Family-Themed D•PARK to Prince Bay and a World-Class Financial, Commercial and Service Complex to Qianhai

New World China Land Limited (“NWC” or “the Company”) is committed to developing the Greater Bay Area (“GBA”) with a forward-looking business strategy and continued venture operations in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

Situated next to the brand-new cruise homeport in Shekou, Shenzhen, the Prince Bay Project is a large-scale complex comprising approximately 390,000 sqm for diversified applications, bringing the K11 Art Mall and family-themed D•PARK to the GBA. Upon completion, the project will become the most distinctively original commercial complex in the locality, combining marine resources, urban landscape, cultural enterprise and sustainable development.

In Shenzhen’s Qianhai free-trade zone, the Chow Tai Fook Finance Tower, with a GFA of 180,000 sqm, will accommodate the regional headquarters of several Global 500 financial institutions, positioning itself as a world-class financial, commercial and service complex. The project, which will be completed before the end of 2021, has embedded sustainability features and has already been awarded a number of key accreditations, including the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED, WELL Building Standard Gold-level Pre-certification and is expected to receive a Three-Star rating under the China Green Building Evaluation Standard.

In addition, NWC is developing a number of high-quality international projects in the GBA – for example, the Hanxi Changlong land site, with a GFA of over 500,000 sqm, at a major transport interchange in Panyu. The project will be developed into a transit-oriented complex comprising D•PARK, Grade A office buildings and residential buildings.

The Company also plans to build a large-scale commercial and residential complex with a GFA of approximately 388,000 sqm in Zengcheng, Guangzhou. The project will attract elites and professionals from around the world to meet the requirements for the development of a demonstration base of high-tech industries in eastern Guangzhou.

NWC has also participated in urban redevelopment projects in the Shan Villages of Liwan District and Nanji Villages of Haizhu in Guangzhou. Integrating heritage with innovation, NWC continuously works to improve the living conditions of local people and the quality of urban life, effectively boosting urban development in Guangzhou as a whole.

As to industrial upgrading, NWC signed the “Strategic Cooperation Agreement for the Economic Belt at Man Kam To Crossing” with the Lo Wu District Government, Shenzhen, for which the two parties agree to carry out in-depth cooperation in the areas of commercial area transformation, comprehensive operation and investment attraction, thus providing a new platform for commercial circulation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and promoting exchanges between the two cities. The existing land parcel available for the project modification covers a site area of approximately 840,000 sqm. The land parcel is only 10 minutes’ drive away from the Shenzhen Metro Station and the Lo Wu Control Point, and just a few minutes’ walk away from several metro stations. The project is set to become a transport hub with tremendous potential.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, NWC will respond proactively to national development strategies. To bring the new promise of “Soul of the City” to fruition, the Company will develop a thorough understanding of the cultural contexts of the different regions and the varied needs of their people, and actively seek development opportunities. By participating in the construction of the Greater Bay Area, NWC will endeavour to create a range of diversified large-scale demonstration projects with distinct cultural characteristics to support the successful launch of the Greater Bay Area.
